Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Treatment Coordinator and play a vital role in guiding patients through their treatment journeys with enthusiasm and precision. In this energetic position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive comprehensive information about their treatment options, insurance processes, and financial responsibilities. Your proactive approach will help streamline patient care, improve communication, and enhance overall patient satisfaction. Duties Act as the main liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies to coordinate treatment plans effectively Educate patients on their treatment options, procedures, and financial obligations with clarity and confidence Verify insurance coverage and assist with pre-authorizations using knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems Prepare accurate medical records and documentation to support billing processes and insurance claims Assist with medical billing and collections to ensure timely payments and resolve outstanding balances Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to update patient information and track treatment progress Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure all documentation aligns with medical terminology standards and coding requirements Skills Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and coding practices including
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems Proven experience in medical office administration with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of medical billing processes and collections procedures Excellent communication skills to explain complex treatment plans clearly to patients Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with medical office procedures, insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and documentation standards Prior experience with medical coding and familiarity with insurance claim submission processes is highly desirable This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a difference in patient care while expanding their expertise in medical billing, coding, and office coordination.
