Medical Biller

Job Summary:

Medical Billing Clerk, manages the claims process, including accurate and timely claim creation, follow-up and correspondence with providers, insurance inquiries/correspondence. Assures payments related to patient services from all sources are recorded and reconciled timely in order to maximize revenues.

Role Responsibilities:

Submit reimbursement requests to Medicare and Medicaid Process insurance claims for private and employer insurance reimbursement Work with patients to develop self-pay arrangements and payment plans Enter charges accurately and expeditiously to ensure proper records handling and fast payment responses Process and follow up on payer denials, consulting with the patient and/or his or her family as needed Post payments in a timely manner Initiate private pay collections after insurance cancellation, denial or other issue Research and resolve client billing problems or issues Assist patients and their families with applying for financial solutions Document payment records and issues has they occur

Experience/Requirements:

High school diploma/GED required (College degree preferred) Experience with medical billing and coding Must have experience billing with FQHC's and/or RHC's clinic's/practices. Excellent customer service skills and phone manner Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment
