Full-Time Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our dynamic medical office in Cary, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with at least one year of hands-on experience in medical billing to grow their career in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform accurate and timely billing entries, ensuring all records are precise and up to date. Manage and resolve billing denials and discrepancies, working collaboratively with insurance carriers to facilitate prompt corrections. Submit claims to various insurance providers, including Medicaid and private payers, while adhering to compliance guidelines and regulations. Handle appeals with insurance carriers as necessary to optimize revenue recovery. Conduct thorough tracking and follow-up of accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments. Initially, undertake front desk responsibilities for a minimum of six months to gain a comprehensive understanding of office operations and patient interactions. Maintain confidentiality of patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing, with a solid understanding of billing practices, insurance claims, and revenue cycle management. Familiarity with various billing software and tools. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, insurance representatives, and healthcare professionals. Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
