The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy in coding and billing procedures, and facilitating timely payments from insurance companies and patients. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our medical practice while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

procedure and established ecpecrience Responsibilities Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and government payers. Review patient records for accuracy and completeness before billing. Utilize ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG coding systems to ensure proper billing practices. Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to billing. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses or treatment plans as needed. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Skills Proficient in medical billing processes and procedures. Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, including ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG, and medical coding. Experience with medical collections and handling patient inquiries regarding bills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare staff. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
