GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Responsible for managing patient accounts, determining correct billing codes, clean claim submission and follow up, ability to read EOB's and payment posting. Knowledge of insurance plans. Ability to interact with office managers, other staff and patients in a professional manner. Ability to take direction and follow policy. Experience in medical billing a must.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
:- Reviews posted charges and makes corrections..
- Ensures accuracy of claims prior to submission to clearinghouse or insurance companies. Reviews batch reports and corrects any rejected or excluded claims.
- Reviews denials and non-payments timely, addresses any issues with insurance companies.
- Posts/corrects payments and adjustments.
- Responds timely and appropriately to inquiries from care centers and patients. Provides excellent customer service.
- .Follows all billing protocols and billing policies, abides by HIPAA guidelines.
- Performs other duties as required or directed.
