Temporary (3 Months) with Opportunity for Full-Time Hire On-Site Role Position Overview OBGYN Care of WNY is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in West Seneca, NY. This temporary position offers the opportunity for long-term employment based on performance and organizational needs. Flexible schedule can be accommodated. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare billing practices, experience managing insurance claims and denials, and proficiency working within the Medent EMR/billing system. Responsibilities Accurately process and submit medical insurance claims Manage and resolve insurance claim denials in a timely manner Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits Ensure compliance with billing regulations and ICD-10 coding standards Maintain accurate and organized billing documentation Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and claim issues Work collaboratively with providers and office staff to optimize billing accuracy and reimbursement timeliness Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards Assist with follow-up on unpaid or underpaid claims Communicate effectively with insurance carriers regarding claim status and appeals Qualifications 1-2 years of medical billing experience required Experience with Medent is required Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare billing practices Strong understanding of insurance claims management and denials resolution Knowledge of insurance carriers and payer requirements preferred Experience with ICD-10 coding and billing compliance standards Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and within a team environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt quickly to evolving regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
