Job Description

Job Summary
WE WILL ONLY CONSIDER IN OFFICE APPLICANTS.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Insurance Follow-Up Representative to join our in-office team. This vital role involves managing the follow-up process for outstanding insurance claims, ensuring timely resolution of billing issues, and maintaining accurate medical records. Duties Follow up on unpaid or denied insurance claims by contacting insurance providers. Review and analyze medical records, bills, and claims to identify discrepancies or issues related to DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, ICD-9, ICD-10, and other coding systems Communicate effectively with insurance companies to expedite claim processing and resolve any disputes or denials promptly. Coordinating with hospital clerical/clinical staff to obtain insurance/charge information. Maintain detailed records of all follow-up activities, correspondence, and resolutions related to medical billing and collections. Responsible for ensuring productivity measures are met daily. Other duties as assigned. Requirements
MUST HAVE
at least 1 year follow- up and medical billing experience. MUST be able to commute to Chester, NY for this in person position. Patient accounting, billing systems, health insurance experience. Knowledge of billing practices, follow up and contract terms. Understanding of
CPT, ICD-10, HFCA
codes. Ability to write appeals for denials. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook. Ability to type. Epic experience a plus. High School diploma or GED.
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
