In this role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process for our medical services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations. Your contributions will play a vital role in the financial health of our practice. Responsibilities Process and submit medical billing claims accurately and in a timely manner. Review patient records for completeness and accuracy before billing. Utilize coding systems such as ICD-9 and ICD-10 for accurate claim submissions. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and inquiries. Maintain organized medical records and documentation for audits and compliance. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation of services rendered. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10). Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with DRG and other reimbursement methodologies is a plus. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance representatives.
