Experience with Athena and/or Brightree Knowledge of insurance verification, claims processing, and accounts receivable Comfortable handling patient billing questions by phone Key Responsibilities Post all payments for services provided in Oklahoma and Texas using Athena and Brightree Post office visit charges for both Oklahoma and Texas locations Review and resolve denied or held claims in Athena Process unapplied and remittance payments Post credit card and virtual insurance plan payments Manage Basys auto-payments and monthly DME service payments Contact patients regarding declined cards and update payment information on file Work AR dashboard for patient calls and resupply payments; update account corrections accordingly Sort incoming mail, separate insurance checks, and submit EOB copies for posting Complete weekly bank deposits for collected checks Post patient payments to the appropriate accounts Take patient payments over the phone Handle inbound patient calls regarding billing inquiries in Athena and Brightree Verify insurance coverage and complete verification forms Audit and apply UAB charges to patient invoices Assist patients with statement requests and HSA account billing questions
