  • Overview:
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing and coding, ensuring accurate and timely submission of medical claims for reimbursement.
  • Duties:
  • Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
  • Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
  • Monitor and appeal denied claims
  • Post payments to appropriate accounts in a timely manner
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies or issues
  • Maintain updated knowledge of insurance guidelines and regulations
  • Comfortable using EMR systems
  • Experience:
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG coding, and medical records management
  • Previous experience (2 years or more) in medical billing, medical collections, or related field
  • Previous Experience with OpenPM and Praxis EMR is preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with medical office procedures and insurance claim processing
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
