Attention to detail CPT coding Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description Company Overview Allergy Asthma and Immunology Center•Ty Prince PLLC is an independent, physician-owned specialty practice dedicated to providing exceptional allergy, asthma, and immunology services across multiple locations. We prioritize a patient-centered approach while upholding strong clinical standards. We are growing clinic with locations across Tennessee. Position Summary The Medical Biller is responsible for supporting the billing cycle for AAIC, including claim review, insurance follow-up, patient account questions, payment posting support, denials, and other billing-related tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients, insurance companies, and internal team members. Schedule This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position.
Preferred availability:
Ability to work until 6:00 PM Eastern Time , Monday through Friday, is preferred. Work Location This position is primarily remote. However, this is not a fully detached remote position . The employee must be available to attend occasional in-person meetings, trainings, or team sessions in Knoxville, Tennessee, generally five days or less per month. Candidates should have a reliable internet connection, a quiet and private workspace, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality while working remotely.
Required Qualifications Applicants must have:
Prior medical billing experience Experience using eClinicalWorks/eCW Experience with Microsoft Teams or similar virtual meeting platforms Ability to work full-time Ability to work remotely while attending occasional in-office meetings or trainings in Knoxville, TN as needed Ability to answer inbound billing calls and make outbound calls Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to follow billing procedures Ability to work independently while staying connected with the team Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Preferred Qualifications Preferred but not required: Ability to work until 6:00 PM Eastern Time , Monday through Friday Allergy, asthma, immunology, or specialty practice billing experience Experience with denials, appeals, and accounts receivable follow-up Experience working in a remote billing environment Familiarity with Medicare, commercial insurance, and patient balance workflows Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, EOBs, ERAs, payer portals, and insurance claim follow-up Job Responsibilities Responsibilities may include: Reviewing and working medical claims in eClinicalWorks/eCW Following up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims Reviewing claim edits and payer-specific issues Answering inbound calls from patients regarding billing questions Making outbound calls to patients, insurance companies, and other parties as needed Reviewing patient accounts and helping resolve billing issues Assisting with insurance payment follow-up Assisting with patient balances, statements, and payment questions Reviewing EOBs, ERAs, and payer responses as needed Assisting with denials, appeals, and accounts receivable follow-up Communicating with internal AAIC teams regarding billing needs or account issues Participating in virtual team meetings through Microsoft Teams or similar platforms Attending occasional in-office meetings or trainings in Knoxville, TN Maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA requirements Completing assigned billing tasks accurately and timely Benefits AAIC offers a benefits package designed to support our employees' health, work-life balance, and long-term stability.
