ABOUT US
At Inclusive Healthcare Center,we pride ourselves on providing comprehensive, high-quality, and compassionate care to our community. As a thriving family practice, we manage a diverse patient panel and a wide range of medical services. We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Medical Biller and Coder who is passionate about revenue integrity and providing excellent service to our patients. Position Overview We are seeking a proactive professional to oversee our billing cycle, with a heavy focus on denial management, insurance appeals, and patient billing communication. The ideal candidate understands that medical billing isn't just about submitting claims—it's about investigating discrepancies, correcting errors, and helping patients navigate their financial responsibilities with clarity and respect.
Key Responsibilities Claims & Coding:
Review, verify, and submit accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for daily family practice encounters.
Denial Resolution:
Track, analyze, and aggressively appeal denied or rejected claims. Identify root causes of denials to implement preventative front-end workflows.
Patient Accounts & Billing:
Manage patient statements, establish payment plans, and answer patient inquiries regarding insurance coverage, deductibles, and outstanding balances with outstanding professionalism. Accounts Receivable (A/R): Monitor and manage aging A/R reports, following up on outstanding commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid claims.
Compliance:
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, OIG guidelines, and payer-specific billing policies.
Qualifications & Experience Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of medical billing and coding experience, specifically within a Family Practice or primary care setting.
Expertise:
Proven track record of successful denial management and insurance appeals.
Certification:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Biller (CPB) preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience will be highly considered.
Software Skills:
Proficiency with modern Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Athena, Kareo /Tebra).
Communication:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to discuss sensitive financial matters with patients firmly yet empathetically.
