Responsibilities:

Contact patients by phone, email, or mail to resolve outstanding balances. Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Accurately document all communications in patient accounts. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and debt collection regulations. Work closely with the billing department to resolve account discrepancies. Meet or exceed monthly collection goals. As a Debt Collections Specialist, you will be expected to possess exceptional customer service skills, work independently and on a team, and have strong problem-solving skills. EMR experience is preferred. A professional demeanor is a must, and being bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in medical collections, billing, or customer service preferred. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion. Knowledge of medical billing codes and insurance processes a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required.
