Job Description
Reimbursement Assistant I 8:00 am 5:00 pm- Monday- Friday This position is remote, but you need to live within 1 hour pf Temecula, CA. This position provides clerical support of the Reimbursement team, management and staff. Essential Functions and Duties
Process mail, prepare the daily bank deposit, process credit cards, scan documents, EMR indexing, and faxing.
Process audit and medical records requests.
Process and code nursing notes and invoices.
Manage faxes and ensure timely and appropriate distribution.
Prepare and distribute emergency medical cards for new patients.
Attend and participate in job-related meetings and training. Continuously strive to improve processes and service quality.
Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws.
Display dedication to position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals and objectives.
Always represent the Company in a professional manner and appearance.
Understand and internalize the Company's purpose,
Display loyalty to the Company and its organizational values.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Required Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years health care and/or clerical related experience.
Required Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of department workflow.
Required Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to interact effectively with customers, coworkers, and all levels of leadership.
Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to participate on and work as an integral member of a team.
Ability to make independent judgments and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to respond to and recommend solutions when problems are identified.
Ability to be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments and responsibilities. Ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively, and maintain expected productivity.
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality to the level of required HIPAA standards.
Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Basic understanding of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and various Systems of Record (SOR).
