In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process for medical services, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies, patients, and other payers. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycles, improve cash flow, and support the overall financial health of our practice. Duties Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and billing software Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to billing Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to secure payment or resolve discrepancies Maintain detailed and organized medical records related to billing transactions Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to clarify billing issues Ensure compliance with medical billing regulations and privacy laws Reconcile accounts receivable and generate reports to monitor billing performance Qualifications Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred Proficiency with EHR systems and medical billing software tools Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding procedures (ICD-10, CPT) Knowledge of medical records management and confidentiality standards Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask efficiently in a dynamic environment Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and insurance representatives
