Contract Job Duties:
Handle correspondence from payors/agencies; copy and distribute documents as needed. Complete insurance follow-up tasks to help collect outstanding balances efficiently. Record all actions on accounts accurately in system notes. Update accounts after contacting patients, insurers, or other departments. Alert supervisors to any issues affecting collections. Assist with departmental reports and special projects. Track daily/weekly/monthly activity and provide reports as requested. Maintain professional, cooperative relationships with patients, staff, insurers, and agencies.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' experience in accounts receivable, medical/insurance billing, or collections. 2+ years of collections experience and analytical ability to manage accounts effectively, while maintaining positive relationships with patients and insurers Ability to understanding of managed care and insurance contracts. Basic knowledge of medical software. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and basic math skills. Disclosure of any previous employment with Parkland is required. Knowledge of basic medical terminology. Bilingual skills.
Schedule:
8:00 AM•5:00 PM Monday•Friday 5 days a week 40 hours/week SAL01
Pay:
$19.00•$20.00 per hour Application Question(s): Candidate must have the ability to manage accounts effectively, while maintaining positive relationships with patients and insurers.
