Full Job Description Description:
Jet Health Inc. is hiring a Home Health Biller to be responsible for the accurate and timely billing of home health services, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations across our home health divisions. This role works closely with clinical, intake, and administrative teams to ensure proper documentation, claim submission, and reimbursement. This position sits in our Fort Worth, TX Corporate office but has the potential to be hybrid/remote two days a week.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit claims for home health services to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers Ensure billing accuracy and compliance with home health regulations, including Medicare guidelines (PDGM) Verify patient eligibility, insurance coverage, and authorization requirements Monitor and follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and rejections to ensure timely reimbursement Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payer issues Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately in the billing system Communicate with payers regarding claim status, audits, and appeals Collaborate with clinical and intake teams to obtain necessary documentation for billing Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding, billing regulations, and reimbursement changes Assist with audits and compliance reviews as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2+ years of medical billing experience, preferably in home health Strong knowledge of Medicare billing guidelines, PDGM, and insurance reimbursement processes Experience with EMR/billing systems (e.g., Homecare Homebase, or similar) Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical terminology Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Preferred Qualifications Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or similar certification Experience working with home health billing audits and appeals Familiarity with EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) requirements Work Environment Typically, office-based or remote depending on company policy Fast-paced environment with productivity and accuracy expectations Key Competencies Attention to Detail Analytical Thinking Time Management Compliance Focus Customer Service Orientation Why Join Us Opportunity to make an impact in patient care behind the scenes Collaborative team environment Competitive compensation and benefits Growth and development opportunities Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Accident, Critical Illness & Cancer Insurance 401(k) with discretionary company match Company-paid Life Insurance 80 hours PTO at 60 days 6 paid holidays + 1 floating holiday
