Job Description
Doctor At Your Service is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of insurance billing, claim submission, payment posting, denials management, and accounts receivable follow-up.
This role is important to keeping our revenue cycle organized, timely, and accurate while supporting our providers and patients. Responsibilities The Medical Biller will be responsible for: Reviewing charges and submitting clean claims to insurance companies Verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits when needed Posting insurance and patient payments accurately Following up on unpaid claims and aging accounts receivable Working claim denials, rejections, and appeals Communicating with insurance companies regarding claim status Reviewing EOBs and identifying billing/payment issues Correcting and resubmitting claims as needed Communicating with providers and internal team members regarding documentation or coding issues Assisting with patient billing questions in a professional manner Maintaining accurate billing records and documentation Helping improve billing processes and reduce claim delays Qualifications Ideal candidates should have: Previous medical billing experience required Strong understanding of insurance claims, EOBs, denials, and AR follow-up Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans preferred Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Professional communication skills Experience with EMR/EHR or billing software preferred Primary care, chronic care management, RPM, home health, wound care, or value-based care billing experience is a plus Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Medicare billing Chronic Care Management billing Remote Patient Monitoring billing Annual Wellness Visit billing Primary care billing Claims appeals and reconsiderations Accounts receivable cleanup Credentialing support ScheduleFull-time position Monday through Friday No weekends Work Setting Medical office / healthcare administration setting Remote or hybrid may be considered depending on experience Pay Pay is based on experience. $20-$28 per hour , depending on experience, skill level, and ability to manage AR and denials independently. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and proactive. The right person will not just submit claims, but will actively help us identify issues, improve collections, reduce denials, and keep the billing process moving efficiently.
