Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our team. Our office is an outpatient mental health clinic. DOE Hours:

25 - 35 hours per week. Responsibilities Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to services rendered. Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process effectively. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or issues. Stay current with changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Skills Proficient knowledge of medical office systems and procedures. Strong understanding of medical coding, including ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG methodologies. Experience with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR). Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Familiarity with medical collections processes.
