Job Description

T eam Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Court Enforcement Supervisor . The Court Enforcement Supervisor reports to the Court Administrator . The primary job duties of this position include: Leads the team to fulfi l the duties of the Gilbert Municipal Court and the mission of the Town while modeling the Town's cultural values
  • Driven,Kind, Bold and Humble; Monitors and conducts investigations to determine defendants' compliance with civil and criminal court orders; Receives and responds timely to written requests from defendants regarding their cases; Documents and maintains confi dential case records; Receives and reviews reports from multiple agencies and justice partners; Prepares and fi les a variety of documents, including multiple petition types, contempt charges, reports, summons, and warrants; Receives subpoenas and testifi es in court as to the defendants' compliance with court orders; Supervises and manages hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, and work assignments for court services clerks assigned to theenforcement division and court security offi cers; Plans and organizes projects, long-term programs, specifi c initiatives, and provides operational impacts to Court Administration; Represent the court and participates in various Town committees or workgroups, and attends meetings as assigned; Responds to employee relations concerns/issues; Leads and coordinates the court security and emergency preparedness committee (SEPC); Manages and coordinates security operations with law enforcement, fi re, and other regulatory agencies as appropriate; Completes OSHA/Safety, Town, and Supreme Court COJET training as required; Demonstrates professional integrity by showing a strong commitment to ethical behavior and moral values; Other duties as assigned.

In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements: Bachelor's degree. 3 years of experience as a probation offi cer in the state of Arizona. 2 years of supervisory experience. Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Licensing/Certification:
Arizona Supreme Court Probation Officer Certificate Knowledge of:
  • Electronic case management system.
  • Legal authority related to probation, court order compliance and rules of criminal procedure.
  • Techniques and strategies to manage a large unsupervised probation caseload.
  • Leadership and management concepts and principles necessary to engage and ensure professional development of employees.
  • Principles, technology and resources utilized for access control of a secure court facility; includes use of screening methods, x-ray machines and metal detectors.
Skills in:
  • Communicating clearly and concisely verbally and in writing with diverse groups of people.
  • Maintaining critical, independent judgment and decision making.
  • Handling adverse, hostile or confrontational situations in a stressful environment.
  • Establishing strong interpersonal relationships with others to accomplish work goals and foster professional relationships.
This position requires a pre-employment physical and/or drug screen and fingerprints.
AT-WILL/FLSA STATUS
This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt
  • ineligible for overtime compensation.
