Court Clerk Front Counter La Paz County Superior Court is seeking a committed and responsible Court Clerk.         JOB DESCRIPTION
        Position Summary:
        Under general supervision, performs various clerical work of moderate difficulty for the Clerk of the Superior Court's office.
        Essential Job Functions & Duties and Responsibilities:
        • Works with parties in person, in writing and/or on the phone; provides information and assistance to the public without giving legal advice; responds to inquiries from court personnel, judges, attorneys, and the public; answers calls; determines the caller's need; forwards/transfers or takes messages. Provides clerical support and assistance as required.
        • Works with and assists staff; revises and/or sends correspondence; picks up, delivers, opens, and distributes mail; makes photocopies, scans, and distributes documents, operates fax machine, and provides other office and customer services support and assistance as required.
        • Accepts and receives monies and issues receipts as required for records requests; updates electronic and/or manual case management systems.
        • Prepare periodic reports with recommendations or simple analyses regarding account status.
        • Assists with the flow of court/case-related information from judges and staff to local, state, and Federal agencies.
        • Performs related work relative to juror questionnaires, summonses, appearances, and payments; assists with the rescheduling, excuse, or deferral of jurors.
        Education and Experience:
        • High school diploma or equivalent
        • A minimum of one (1) year of general office, administrative or clerical experience
        Required Licensee and Certification:
        • Must pass extensive criminal background and normal reference checks.
        • Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license without restrictions throughout the length of employment.
        • All employees are required to complete 16 hours of Co-jets annually including 6 hours live/in-person training.
        • Ethics Training within 30 days of hiring
        • Cyber Security Training- within 30 days of hiring
        Required Knowledge, Skill & Ability:
        • Applicable State of Arizona statutes, rules, administrative orders, policies and procedures, Federal rules and requirements.
        • Adhere to the Arizona Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees, as well as Clerk of Court and La Paz County policies.
        • Manage confidential matters and maintain discretion always.
        • Work professionally and effectively with co-workers, parties, victims of crime, witnesses, and the public.
        • Time management, organization, and adherence to detail
        • Interpersonal skills that support working with a diverse group of individuals including judges, court staff, litigants, attorneys, and the public.
