Please check before applying. •This is a temporary position funded through a grant. Continuation of this position is dependent on ongoing grant funding and program needs. The anticipated duration of this role is through May 2028, though this timeline may be adjusted based on funding status. •The Ada County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Treatment Court Specialist to assist participants with the Ada County Treatment Court programs. Ada County Treatment Courts include specialized programs such as Drug Court, Veterans Court, and Mental Health Court. These courts focus on case planning, workforce assistance, treatment coordination, and overall program compliance. In this position, you will work with a team of Reentry Specialists, Deputies, Programs staff, and the Treatment Courts to set participants up for success in the community. This position is located in the Ada County Sheriff's Office, Court Services Bureau, but will also be required to travel to the courthouse.

The incumbent performs complex, sensitive, and varied work under general direction. The position will be required to exercise discretion and independent judgement to accomplish work.

Essential Functions Coordinates paperwork for potentially eligible candidates for the Ada County Treatment Courts; Researches and compiles data and information on participants who are in custody, absconding or involved in criminal activity; Acts as a point of contact/liaison between the Ada County Sheriff's Office and all partnering agencies; Serves as a case manager for treatment court participants who are in custody; Coordinates and distributes documentation for Treatment Court participants within the Ada County Sheriff's Office; Facilitates phone calls with Treatment Court Deputies while participants are in custody; Tracks and evaluates participant's program compliance and non-compliance while in custody by working with other ACSO and outside agency divisions, county partners, and vendors; Ability to speak with a diverse population to gather information; Reviews and interprets court documentation; Enters data accurately into multiple system databases; Facilitates communication and helps resolve disputes involving Treatment Courts, law enforcement, partner agencies, treatment providers, in-custody Treatment Court participants, and other who interact with the program; and Attends court and staffing meetings weekly and oversees the preparation of weekly staffing reports.

Completes special projects as assigned; Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements High School diploma or GED required; Experience in data/intelligence gathering and reporting; Knowledge of legal terminology and forms preferred; Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling; Knowledge of computer systems, file structure, and thorough knowledge of MS Office; Skill in communicating with diverse populations; Ability to navigate multiple database systems; Ability to work independently and have well developed interpersonal skills; Ability to review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance; Ability to compile data and information for reports; Ability to compose letters and memoranda; Ability to interpret policy and procedure manuals; Ability to maintain confidentiality of data; and Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must appear before an oral board and successfully complete a polygraph and background investigation; Must be able to work dayshift hours with some flexibility required; This position has been designated safety sensitive and therefore the incumbent is subject to random drug testing. Work Environment & Physical Demands Work is performed primarily in an office environment; May be required to sit or stand for an extended period of time; May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.; Work may require entering a secured facility; and Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.
