Job Title:
Judgment Entry Clerk Position Summary The Judgment Entry Clerk is responsible for reviewing, tracking, and processing judgment orders across multiple states. This role ensures accurate case documentation, timely follow-up with courts, and initiation of post-judgment actions, including lien preparation when applicable. Key Responsibilities Review and process judgment orders across 14 states, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Receive and manage orders from multiple sources, including mail, email, and court or client websites. Monitor pending judgments and follow up on submitted orders when a file-stamped copy has not yet been received.
Perform follow-up actions by:
Sending standardized correspondence using template letters Contacting courts via phone or other communication methods Reviewing available court websites for status updates Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all judgment activity. Once judgments are entered, initiate the next phase of the legal lifecycle, including: Preparing and coordinating lien filings where applicable based on state requirements Ensure compliance with varying state-specific legal procedures and timelines. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth case progression and resolution. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred) Prior experience in legal support, court processing, or collections highly preferred but not required. Familiarity with civil court procedures and judgment processes is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage high-volume, multi-state workflows Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems Key Skills Detail-oriented and deadline-driven Strong follow-up and investigative skills Ability to interpret legal documents Effective time management and multitasking Professional communication with court personnel Work Environment Office setting Regular interaction with courts, internal departments, and potentially external vendors
