Motor Vehicle Clerk II is a customer-focused position at the center of motor vehicle services, helping the public with titles, registrations, and assessments. You'll be part of a fast-paced, public-facing team that supports residents with important vehicle transactions and delivers reliable, friendly service. What You'll Do Help customers with motor vehicle registration, titling, and licensing needs Process a variety of transactions including renewals, titles, lien notations, and related documents Enter and update motor vehicle data in computer systems Answer questions by phone and in person, providing clear and helpful information Calculate fees, taxes, and registrations and process payments and refunds Verify required documents such as insurance and ownership paperwork Maintain accurate records and organize files and materials Balance cash drawer and complete daily reporting Support front counter operations in a busy customer service environment What We're Looking For Strong customer service mindset and a positive, professional attitude Ability to communicate clearly and work well with the public Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Comfort working with computers and basic office systems Ability to follow procedures and learn detailed processes Experience handling cash or payments is helpful Why This Role Matters This position plays an important role in keeping vehicle services running smoothly for the community. You'll be trusted to handle important transactions accurately while providing a welcoming, helpful experience for every customer. Minimum Qualifications/Necessary Special Requirements Graduation from high school or equivalent with two years of experience in performing clerical work involving considerable public contact or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills.
