Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Director of Medical/Surgical/ PCU has 24-hour responsibility to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of Nursing Care to the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patients. Is qualified to perform the duties of this position by initial education, continuing education and experience. Is responsible for the fiscal & operational management of the Department. Job Requirements:

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or actively progressing towards a BSN or related field preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of three (5) years' nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years' clinical and leadership experience preferred. Required Licensure/Certification(s):
• Current RN license to practice professional Nursing in the State of New Mexico or acceptable compact state RN licensure.
• Current verification in Basic Life Support. (If BLS verification is not current upon hire must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.)
• Must complete ACLS certification within three (3) months of hire.
• Must complete PALS within six (6) months of hire.
