Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Court Clerk to join our judicial team. In this vital role, you will serve as the administrative backbone of the court, ensuring smooth operations and accurate record-keeping. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will support the justice process, assist the public, and uphold the integrity of court procedures. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to community justice while developing your legal administrative expertise. Responsibilities Manage and maintain court records, files, and case documentation with precision and confidentiality Assist in scheduling court hearings, appointments, and legal proceedings efficiently Conduct research related to case files, legal documents, and procedural requirements to support judicial staff Prepare legal drafts, correspondence, and reports using word processing tools to ensure clarity and professionalism Handle data entry tasks accurately for case management systems and court databases Provide excellent customer service by guiding visitors, litigants, attorneys, and the public through court processes Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning documents, and managing incoming/outgoing correspondence Support cash handling processes for fines or fees collected during court proceedings with integrity and accuracy Requirements Previous experience as a Court Clerk, in legal administrative roles or as a paralegal is highly desirable Strong research skills with an understanding of litigation procedures and legal terminology Proficiency in word processing software and data entry systems for efficient document management Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases, files, and schedules simultaneously Demonstrated clerical experience including filing, record keeping, and office administration Customer service experience to assist the public professionally and courteously Ability to handle financial transactions accurately and responsibly Office experience that includes legal drafting, filing procedures, and general administrative tasks Join us as a Tyre Town Court Clerk where your honesty, confidentiality and proactive attitude will help uphold justice while advancing your career in a dynamic legal environment. Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
