Full Job Description Summary:
The City of East Cleveland is seeking a highly organized, professional, and proactive Executive Assistant to cabinet members of the Mayor's office including but not limited to the Director of Executive Affairs, the Finance Director, and the Economic and Community Development Director. This role requires high-level administrative, operational, and project coordination support in a fast-paced government environment. The Executive Assistant serves as a central point of contact for the Mayor's Office, ensuring effective communication, scheduling, workflow management, and stakeholder engagement. Ideal candidates bring experience supporting multiple senior leaders, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to public service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Mayor's cabinet calendar, meetings, and deadlines with precision Coordinate communications with residents, public agencies, and internal departments Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and briefing materials Support special projects, community initiatives, and interdepartmental activities Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with city procedures Monitor inquiries, route requests, and ensure timely follow-up Plan logistics for events, public meetings, and official engagements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience considered 3+ years of administrative or executive support experience, ideally in government, public administration, or a high-volume professional office Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard administrative systems
