Job Description
COURT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN POSITION
Wachesaw Plantation Club provides Members and their families an exclusive, friendly, and inviting active lifestyle. As a court maintenance technician, you will be responsible for maintaining 8 tennis courts by sweeping, rolling, and lining them in top playing condition, as well as maintaining the surrounding areas of the tennis facility and tennis shop. You will also maintain all machinery used to groom and repair courts or keep the facility in top condition.DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet members and guests and provides positive customer service. Respond to member inquiries and requests and resolve member service issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner. Maintain court surfaces including, but not limited to, adding Har Tru, magnesium, or calcium as needed, watering, rolling, inspecting for algae and weeds, and raking and cleaning. Perform periodic maintenance of windscreens, fences, and tennis walkways. Inspect and repair court lines. Blow off court lines and cement clocks after sweeping, but before watering. Provide and replenish water for members and guest on the tennis courts. Adjust and repair sprinklers, timers, and drainage lines. Maintain nets in operable condition. Remove trash, check ball return, and clean foot sweeps and water fountains. Stack and store furniture for inclement weather. Regularly clean tables and chairs and repaint tables and chairs, as necessary. Communicate unplayable court conditions to the Director of Tennis or anyone acting on behalf of the Director of Tennis. Tune and fuel all machines and other equipment. Replace parts and perform minor repairs to machines to keep machines in optimal operating condition. Order and maintain supplies including, but not limited to, machine parts, court light bulbs, and cups. Deliver machines to repair shop and pick machines up when repairs are complete. Report any facility, quality, or equipment issues to the Director of Tennis or anyone acting on behalf of the Director of Tennis. Work cooperatively with co-workers and assist co-workers as requested. Assist with daily tennis operations as directed. Follow uniform and personal appearance standards, as well as all employee standards outlined in the employee handbook(s). Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management.CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and on a team. Willingness and ability to assess court drainage. Capacity to be on your feet for long hours. Physically able to work from ladders, move furniture, and operate cleaning and maintenance equipment Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, rotate, climb, stand, push, lift, grasp, and reach. Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 80 pounds. Ability to push or pull a cart up to 200 pounds. Ability to tolerate environmental factors, such as humidity, heat, cold, dust and noise. Willingness to work with or around, harmful chemicals and/or flying golf balls. Flexible schedule with the ability to work varying hours and days including, but not limited, to nights and weekends.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
