Part Time District Clerk

JOB Maintain accurate records for the District Clerk's Office and the district courts.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. This is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed and employees may be assigned duties which are not listed below. Employees are required to be in attendance and prepared to begin work at their assigned work location on the specified days and hours. The job description does not constitute an employment agreement and is subject to change at any time by the employer. Regular attendance of not more than 30 hours per week is required Maintain accurate records of all documents and files Assist attorneys, court staff, and/or the public in accessing case recordsAnswer phones and direct calls to proper departmentsOpen, file stamp, and sort incoming mailReceipt and maintain payment recordsProcess court pleadings, orders, bench warrants, capias, subpoenas, summons, issue civil/family service and other various correspondenceOpen, close, and audit a tillMaintain confidentiality of records as required by lawFile and process paperwork filed over the counter, through the mail (USPS), and/or through the electronic service providersAssist the public with the public computers Any other duties assigned by the District Clerk or designee
