Minimum Qualifications:
Must be bondable and able to pass a background check. Minimum high school diploma. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Outlook. Ability to understand and maintain complex indexing and filing system. Ability to attend work in person. Ability to engage professionally with court personnel, attorneys, and the public. Aptitude to work independently or within a group setting in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary:
The Probate Clerk performs clerical and administrative tasks for probate matters, including estates, guardianships, and mental health commitments. Responsibilities include processing filings, creating case files, issuing legal documents, and maintaining records. This role is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing and recording of financial transactions. Assisting the court during court proceedings, must be able to multitask and pay attention to detail. Additional responsibilities include assisting members of the public and attorneys, managing incoming calls, organizing records for scanning, and ensuring compliance with court orders and established procedures. Perform other duties as assigned and must be able to attend required training. Regular office attendance is an essential function of this position.
