Job Description

Office Manager We are seeking a highly organized, leadership-driven Optometry Office Manager to oversee the daily clinical and administrative operations of our practice. In this role, you will be the bridge between our doctors, staff, and patients, ensuring a seamless patient experience and driving practice profitability. The ideal candidate has strong optometric billing knowledge, a passion for patient care, and proven experience managing a healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership:
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise front desk staff, optometric technicians, and opticians.
Patient Flow:
Optimize daily scheduling to reduce wait times and ensure a high-quality patient journey.
Financial Management:
Oversee medical/vision insurance verification, claim submissions, accounts receivable, and daily billing.
Retail & Inventory:
Coordinate with opticians to manage frame and contact lens inventory, ensuring profitable product turnover.
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines, OSHA regulations, and clinic safety protocols.
Practice Growth:
Track daily/monthly revenue targets and implement strategies to boost patient retention and optical sales.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
3+ years of experience in a medical office, with a strong preference for optometry or ophthalmology clinics.
Leadership:
Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience required.
Software:
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and standard practice management software.
Optometry Knowledge:
Solid understanding of vision insurance plans (e.g., VSP) and major medical billing codes.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional conflict resolution, clear communication, and the ability to multitask in a multifaceted setting.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
