The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical office management, billing, and administrative support within healthcare settings. This role requires strong leadership skills, proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. The Primary Care Office/Billing Manager will ensure efficient clinic operations, accurate billing processes, and compliance with all relevant policies, fostering a productive environment that prioritizes patient care and operational excellence. Duties Manage all aspects of medical billing and coding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with insurance requirements, including managed care and Medicaid/Medicare guidelines. Supervise administrative staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of office management. Oversee fiscal management activities such as budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation to optimize clinic profitability. Coordinate with clinical staff to streamline patient scheduling, medical records management, and utilization management processes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with legal standards. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft for documentation, billing, and reporting purposes. Implement quality assurance protocols aligned with JCAHO standards and other healthcare accreditation requirements to sustain operational excellence. Collaborate with human resources on staffing needs, credentialing processes, and staff development initiatives to foster a positive work environment. Experience Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within primary care or outpatient clinics. Extensive knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding practices, and insurance claim processing. Supervisory experience leading administrative or billing teams in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and utilization management protocols. Background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and resource planning. Experience working within acute care or hospital environments is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management is essential for accurate documentation and communication.
