We are looking for motivated, detail-oriented professionals who are ready to grow with our company and help take our operations to the next level. If you are a dedicated Bookkeeper or Office Administrator looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing construction company, we would love to hear from you. The Bookkeeper is responsible for accurately recording, classifying, and maintaining financial transactions to ensure company financial records remain organized and up to date. This role also supports daily office operations and performs routine accounting and administrative duties within a construction industry environment. Key Responsibilities Operate QuickBooks accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial information Apply common construction accounting practices, including: Processing joint checks Preparing preliminary documents for financial institutions Creating and maintaining job folders Creating and maintaining vendor files Review figures, postings, and financial documents for accuracy and proper coding Classify, record, and summarize financial data using journals, ledgers, spreadsheets, and accounting software Manage accounts payable and receivable activities Receive, record, and deposit cash, checks, and vouchers Reconcile discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records Assist with weekly payroll processing Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company policies and procedures Prepare financial, accounting, and auditing reports related to receipts, expenditures, profits, and losses Support prevailing wage reporting and DIR compliance requirements Qualifications & Competencies Experience using QuickBooks accounting software Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting practices within the construction industry Familiarity with prevailing wage and DIR reporting requirements preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct Strong financial management and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities We are looking for dependable, career-minded individuals who are eager to grow with a company that values hard work, professionalism, and long-term success.
Pay:
$25.29 - $30.46 per hour
