Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Business Office Manager to lead the administrative and financial operations within a healthcare setting. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinic management, fiscal responsibilities, human resources, and medical administrative support to ensure seamless daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical office management, including proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix, and demonstrate a strong understanding of healthcare regulations like HIPAA. This energetic leader will motivate teams, optimize practice workflows, and uphold the highest standards of medical records management and financial stewardship. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of fiscal management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and expense control to ensure the clinic's financial health. Oversee medical office operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as JCAHO standards and HIPAA privacy rules. Supervise administrative staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions. Coordinate with nursing staff and clinical teams to streamline practice management and optimize patient flow. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix for accurate documentation of medical records and billing processes. Oversee medical administrative support functions such as appointment scheduling, patient registration, and insurance verification. Ensure compliance with managed care policies and utilization management protocols to support quality patient care. Maintain detailed knowledge of medical terminology, hospital experience standards, and acute care procedures to facilitate effective clinic operations. Experience Proven experience in medical office management within a healthcare environment, preferably in clinics offering acute or critical care services. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading administrative or clinical teams in a fast-paced setting. Strong background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or similar platforms is essential. Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO accreditation standards is required. Experience working with diverse healthcare settings such as hospital clinics or veterinary practices is advantageous.
