BVSD Summary:
At the direction of the Director of Professional Learning, the School Office Manager Mentor provides embedded support, coaching, and professional development of new School Office Managers. This role provides coaching, models best practices, and helps develop training resources. The mentor guides new staff in building effective relationships with school communities and offers feedback to strengthen their performance. Collaboration with district leaders is essential to ensure a consistent and supportive mentoring eperience.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with district departments to implement and review a comprehensive onboarding and mentoring program for new to district/role Office Professionals. Serve as a coach/mentor for new School Office Managers by providing peer consultation/modeling of best practices in office processes, systems, and management. Support continued development of tools and resources for new School Office Managers, including training videos and manuals. Guide new School Office Managers on how to balance relationships with colleagues, central office, families, and students. Provide supportive and confidential feedback through a variety of sources, which can include observation, consultation, and coaching to further develop effectiveness. Build and maintain a positive relationship with school and department administrators in order to support the professional growth of the mentee. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 4 years as a BVSD School Office Manager in BVSD. Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English. Completed and submitted BVSD online application.
Preferred:
Bilingual English/Spanish Proficiency in ERP Infor, Infinite Campus, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Gmail Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Continued commitment to grow as a culturally responsive employee Ability to interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
Salary Information:
Salary Placement varies according to eperience and education. Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (eisting employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule ) . BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process. This information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including eperience and education. All salaries are set by Human Resources based on a review of qualifications compared to the requirements on the job description; therefore listing all related education and eperience on your application is recommended.
