Job Summary:
The Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day leadership of the Front Desk, Bell and Valet departments. This position ensures smooth daily operations, exceptional guest service, adherence to brand standards, and effective financial oversight. A strong leader and team player, the Front Office Manager sets high service standards, fosters a positive team environment, and collaborates closely with executive and departmental leadership.Job Specifications:

No Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of Front Office, Bell and Valet, and Guest Services teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Maintain strong front desk presence and lead from the front, modeling service excellence and operational standards.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance management for all front office and guest services staff, developing a high-performing, guest-focused team.
- Build a "One Team" culture focused on employee and guest safety, operational excellence, and service consistency.
- Own and manage all guest billing processes, third-party channel reservations, and extranet systems to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain accurate schedules and staffing levels aligned with business needs; manage departmental labor and operating budgets.
- Resolve escalated guest and member issues with professionalism, using proven service recovery techniques to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD), ensuring timely response to service disruptions, guest needs, and property concerns.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Housekeeping, Facilities, Owner Relations, Reservations, Revenue Management, Resort Sales, and Gravity Haus membership to drive occupancy and enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure staff consistently uphold Vail Resorts, Vail Resorts Hospitality, and Gravity Haus standards across all guest interactions.
- Oversee the implementation of safety procedures and emergency protocols; ensure team readiness and compliance.
- Prepare and manage departmental payroll, financial forecasting, inventory, and reporting tasks to ensure operational accuracy and efficiency.
- Champion employee recognition programs, service initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to foster a positive workplace.
- Lead the welcoming and recognition of Gravity Haus members and other VIP guests, coordinating personalized service and room assignments.
- Participate in resort, and departmental meetings; contribute to larger property-wide initiatives and strategic goals.
Job Requirements:
- Hotel/resort front office management or supervisory experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of front-of-house and back-of-house hospitality operations
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid U.S. Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and resolve guest and staff issues effectively.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
- Experience at a full-service branded hotel or resort.
- Prior experience with luxury hotel environments
- Familiarity with hotel systems
- MEWS
- 3 Years of Hotel or like experience
- Knowledge of CPOR and departmental financial planning. The expected pay range is $58,461.98
