Full Job Description SUMMARY:
The Office Manager will support the ministry and mission of
Our Savior's Lutheran Church:
People Connecting People with Jesus and Each Other . This position coordinates administrative functions of the church with a focus on efficient and effective operations and procedures. Offers weekday hospitality for all who enter the church office and building. Also provides bookkeeping and financial duties.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under general guidance of the Lead Pastor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Office Administration a. Answer phones and assist those who come to the office. b. Handle facility use requests and the church calendar. c. Check email daily and provide follow-up as needed. d. Prepare weekly printed announcements and electronic newsletter. e. Work with Music Director and Pastor to prepare bulletins. f. Update membership database and keep congregational records. g. Attend staff meetings. h. Oversee office volunteers. i. Support worship team leaders and volunteers. 2. Bookkeeping and Financial Duties a. Responsible for accounts payable processing and filing timely payment of invoices. b. Distribute timesheets semi-monthly and process payroll. c. Work with accountant regarding end of month reconciliation. d. Enter all bank deposits and transactions into QuickBooks for month end. e. Process accounting deposits and posts into QuickBooks. f. Prepare and distribute quarterly contribution statements.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduate or equivalent Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Strong time management skills Effective communicator verbally and in writing Proficiency in office management and computer skills, including but not limited to the following: database management, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Constant Contact Bookkeeping procedures and QuickBooks knowledge and experience Ability to perform data entry and make mathematical computations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge and experience using Canva and Planning Center
