I have a fast-paced company looking to mentor a staff accountant for a 5-day onsite operational accounting position to learn as much as you want within their private equity real estate world. This kind of opportunity does not come along often, which is why you would work with me! Also, it pays up to 80k plus a 10% bonus - you must have an accounting degree and with deep expertise in real estate or property accounting. What You'll Be Doing As an integral Accounting and office member, you will be responsible for accounting functions across the entire scope of the company. The work you do will have a direct impact on the firm's performance, as well as on the satisfaction and value we provide to our investors. Specific Responsibilities of the
Position:
  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing/billing, bank reconciliations, and quarterly close responsibility
  • Vendor management/communication including: property managers/accountants, bankers, legal firms, and tax preparers
  • Assist with annual audit and tax preparation
  • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and workpapers
  • Treasury management functions, including daily banking updates, initiating wires and ACHs, subscription line financing tracking and interest calculations, and setting up bank accounts
  • General office support, including information technology and communications Other tasks and ad hoc projects as required About You Experience in the real estate field Hold a BS / BA in Accounting or Finance; a CPA is a plus, but not mandatory Is a self-starter who can handle complex tasks with limited supervision If you have the work ethic, desire, and intelligence, I will get you a meeting!
