We bring beloved characters to life at birthday parties, corporate events, and private celebrations. Our reputation depends on the quality and integrity of our costumes and wigs — which is where you come in. Position Summary We're hiring a Wardrobe & Office Manager to oversee our Fort Laudersale costume shop and office. This is a hands-on wardrobe role first and an office management role second. The ideal candidate is a skilled seamstress or costumer with wig styling experience (or the drive to learn) who also enjoys the organizational side of running a small costume operation. You'll work independently, directly impact what every client sees at their event, and be the main point of contact for our roster of performers. Key Responsibilities Costume & Wig Care (Primary Focus) Repair, alter, and maintain costumes to keep them show-ready Clean costumes between bookings and spot-clean mascots Style, fix, and maintain wigs for a roster of character costumes (Elsa, Ariel, Moana, and many others) Ensure all appliqués, trim, and embellishments are secure before costumes go out Flag costumes or wigs that need replacement or professional repair Quality Control & Documentation Photograph all outgoing wigs weekly after cleaning, styling, or repair Send a group photo of outgoing costumes each week before Wednesday so any issues can be corrected in time Maintain consistent quality standards across the entire wardrobe inventory Inventory & Calendar Management Update inventory lists weekly Review the booking calendar several weeks ahead to identify missing or damaged pieces before events Communicate inventory concerns to leadership in a timely manner Performer Coordination Manage Friday pickups and Monday drop-offs Maintain the sign-out sheet and approve any exceptions Onboard new performers on office access, rules, and storage procedures Serve as the direct contact when performers have repairs, cleaning needs, or questions Optionally host brief in-person fittings (30 minutes max) when already on-site — focused on high-demand costumes Organization & Office Operations Label costume bags with character names and complete piece lists (gloves, crown, shoes, etc.) Bag loose pieces separately within garment bags Store mascots properly off the ground, kept neat and presentable Confirm deliveries promptly across our multiple locations Keep the office and storage space organized and efficient Required Qualifications Strong sewing, alterations, and costume repair skills Experience cleaning and maintaining costumes Wig styling experience OR demonstrated willingness to learn (we provide access to professional tutorials via TheWigShed) Highly organized with excellent attention to detail Clear, reliable communicator Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable transportation to Glendale Comfortable lifting and moving costumes, mascots, and storage bins Preferred Qualifications Background in theater, dance, cosplay, theme park entertainment, or bridal/formalwear Experience with mascot costume care and repair Familiarity with character performer or entertainment industry workflows Prior experience managing a costume shop, wardrobe department, or similar space How to Apply Submit your resume along with a brief note about your wardrobe and wig styling experience.
