Qualifications:
Requirements of the Business Office Manager High School Diploma or Equivalent; College Degree Preferred. At least (1) year experience as a Business Office Manager in a healthcare setting. Experience working with PCC and RFMS a plus. Responsibilities:
Business Office Manager Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility's business office functions. Interpret the facility's accounting policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc as necessary. Assist department directors in the development and use of accounting policies and procedures and establish a rapport in and between departments so that each can realize the importance of accurate reporting procedures. Monitor internal controls to assure compliance with established procedures. Represent the facility and participate in meetings as required. Assist by providing information to patients/family members as to Medicare/Medicaid, or other financial assistance programs available to the patient or refer them to the Social Service Director. Serve as liaison to the Administrator, medical staff and other professional supervisory staff. Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished. Establish and maintain a system of financial recordkeeping to include ledgers, recording payments, writing receipts, posting cash journals, prepare and make bank deposits, etc. Establish and maintain a system of accounts payable, to include invoicing, purchase orders, pay vouchers, check register, ledgers, etc. as necessary Maintain the general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, account analysis and reconciliation, closing books, setting up new accounts, etc as necessary or instructed Prepare and mail statements. Monitor and collect accounts receivables. Assist in the establishment and maintenance of an adequate filing system. Perform functions of computer data entries as necessary
