Ascendo is excited to present this opportunity in the wealth management industry. We are searching for an innovative and highly analytical operations professional to join a dynamic advisory firm. This position goes beyond traditional daily operations, requiring a strategic mindset focused on systems integration, process improvement, and future automation. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of dedicated investment operations experience, strong project management capabilities, and a proven track record of elevating team workflows. Active financial licenses are not required for this role.
Responsibilities:
Spearhead the documentation and enhancement of operational procedures, leveraging new technologies and automation to resolve recurring discrepancies. Act as the central liaison between portfolio management, client relations, and external partners to ensure seamless daily execution. Execute core daily and periodic reconciliations for cash, positions, and transactions across various financial reporting platforms. Assist with essential finance routines, including tracking cash flows, validating operational expenses, and supporting budget monitoring. Support the full management fee billing cycle, from variance investigation to validating invoice accuracy. Monitor trade settlements and lifecycle events, promptly addressing any allocation issues or exceptions.
Qualifications:
4+ years of progressive experience within asset management, middle office, or investment operations. Demonstrated ability to map out current processes and implement meaningful workflow enhancements. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software for complex data analysis, handling large datasets, and reconciliation logic. Exceptional analytical background with a strong focus on problem solving and maintaining operational controls. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors. College degree required.
