Job Description

Overview Must live in Okeechobee, FL. The Okeechobee Livestock Market is seeking a highly organized, accounting-focused office manager with strong QuickBooks experience and a solid understanding of financial operations. This role is ideal for a junior-level CPA-track candidate or accounting professional who can manage day-to-day financial processes while supporting overall office operations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate inventory and financial records using QuickBooks Desktop Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes Prepare and review Profit/Loss statements and other financial reports Monitor cash flow and assist with financial forecasting Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and internal ledgers Coordinate with external CPA/accountant for tax preparation and compliance Support payroll coordination (in conjunction with payroll provider, if applicable) Supervise day-to-day office staff and ensure efficient administrative operations Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inventory settlements and financial discrepancies Maintain organized documentation for audits, reporting, and internal controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred, but AA acceptable, in Accounting, Finance, or related field Accounting experience Minimum 2-5 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Experience with financial reporting, including Profit - Loss statements High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Preferred Experience (Not Required) Experience in agriculture and or around livestock a plus Familiarity with high-volume transactional operations Experience working in a small business or family-owned company setting Compensation Salary commensurate with experience (target range: $55,000 - $70,000) Opportunity for performance-based bonus Long-term growth potential within a stable, family-operated business Paid time off (major holidays) Potential added-value benefits Work Environment This position is based in rural Florida.
