If you are looking to make a difference in the lives and families that we serve, we are looking for a full-time (40 hours/per week and benefit eligible) Business Office Manager to join our skilled workforce in our skilled nursing facility setting. The Business Office Manager assists in fulfilling the operations and functions of the Business Office department of the facility timely and efficiently, as well as the coordination of timely billing and collections of the facility's Accounts Receivables, participates in Accounts Receivable reviews with the facility regional representative, the Director of Finance and the Administrator of the facility, and actively participates and assists the facility team. Billing for all Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Hospice and all secondary claims timely and appropriately. Follow up on all timely billed claims and document in the facility EMR (electronic medical record) system on the status of the outstanding AR. Generate monthly private statements for amounts due. Meet with residents and/or responsible parties regarding private amounts due. Submit past due private accounts to facility collection agency when appropriate. Answer and assist residents and/or responsible parties with billing questions. Receive and file all incoming documents. Prepare and reconcile monthly accounts receivables for month end close. Prepare and reconcile yearly Medicare and Medicaid cost report information. Prepare and reconcile monthly the facility Medicare Bad Debt log. Prepare and reconcile monthly the facility bank accounts. Hold weekly AR reviews with any applicable staff to include the Administrator of the facility Hold weekly Medicaid Pending reviews with any applicable staff to include the Administrator of the facility Manage the facility Resident Funds Management System (RFMS). Appropriately withdrawing, depositing, posting and reconcile the trust on a monthly basis. Maintain current and accurate data in the EMR especially relating to billing functions. Demonstrate respect and compassion with every interaction. All other duties assigned. Qualified applicants will have the following: A high school diploma or its equivalent. Two-year degree preferred. Minimum, two (2) years' experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF). Point Click Care experience preferred. National Data Care and RFMS experience preferred. Medicaid Pending knowledge preferred. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language and possess good communication skills. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to handle tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Must be able to work harmoniously with other personnel. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc. that are necessary for providing sound accounting techniques. Must be able to carry out and understand written and oral instructions. Must be knowledgeable of computers, data entry, retrieval and output of information. Must possess the ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports.
Working Conditions:
Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility Able to be mobile which includes lifting up to 20 lbs. of force or force frequently.
