About the Role We're seeking a 100% in office Office Administrator to oversee and manage all permitting activities for our remodeling projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects move forward efficiently by coordinating with municipalities, engineers, designers, and project managers to secure approvals and maintain compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in navigating permitting processes in a fast-paced construction environment. What You'll Do Manage the full permitting process from application submission through final approval. Prepare and submit permit applications and all required supporting documentation to municipalities. Coordinate with city and county building departments throughout the permit review process. Track permit status and approvals to ensure projects stay on schedule and moving forward. Respond to plan review comments and manage resubmissions as required. Coordinate engineer site visits and required documentation . Work closely with the design team on window and door specifications to ensure code compliance. Collaborate with the project engineer on structural requirements and approvals . Review architectural drawings and floor plans to verify accuracy before submission. Coordinate floor plans and plan reviews with internal teams and municipalities. Review SOWs (Scopes of Work) and COs (Change Orders) to confirm sufficient funds are allocated for engineering fees. Follow up on CO approvals to ensure projects continue progressing without delays. Ensure timely payment issuance for engineering services . Maintain contractor licensing compliance across municipalities , including tracking insurance renewals and license renewal deadlines. Maintain organized records of permits, licenses, approvals, and inspections . Communicate with building departments, inspectors, and plan reviewers to resolve issues and expedite approvals. Provide regular permitting status updates to project managers and internal teams.
