Job Description

Office ManagerThe Grundy Register The Grundy Register is seeking an organized, energetic, and community-minded individual to join our team as Office Manager. This position serves as the day-to-day hub of the newspaper, helping readers, supporting local businesses, assisting with office operations, and ensuring The Grundy Register continues to be a trusted source of local news and information throughout Grundy County. If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and making a difference in your community, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Assist customers with subscriptions, renewals, and general inquiries Help coordinate office operations and daily administrative tasks Support billing, invoicing, and customer account management Assist with community calendars, announcements, photos, and other local content Work closely with our editor, writers, and advertising team Serve as a friendly and professional representative of The Grundy Register Help strengthen relationships with readers, businesses, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently and managing multiple responsibilities Basic computer and office software experience Positive attitude and willingness to learn Office, customer service, newspaper, communications, or administrative experience is preferred, but not required.
