About the Role The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing overall front office operations, providing leadership to the customer service team, and supporting HR functions such as recruiting, benefits, payroll, and employee relations. This role also manages accounts payable/receivable, coordinates office activities and events, ensures compliance with company policies, and serves as a key resource for branch leadership. The Office Manager plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations, positive employee relations, and excellent customer support. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Direct and manage office operations, including quotes, order entry, and purchasing. Review and approve office staff payroll and oversee departmental payroll processes. Administer new hire onboarding, benefits, dismissal paperwork, and DOT compliance documents, ensuring timely submission to HR. Recruit, train, coach, and discipline customer service personnel as needed. Enforce company policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with local regulations. Order and maintain office supplies and equipment. Maintain compliance, education, and training records for office staff. Review all new customer orders and associated purchase orders daily. Ensure all delivered and shipped orders are invoiced on schedule. Manage office and customer Will Call procedures. Coordinate branch events such as holiday parties and customer appreciation days. Oversee incoming/outgoing mail and small parcel shipping. Administer accounts payable and accounts receivable at the branch level. Submit IT requests for office staff. Provide leadership and support to Branch, Plant, and Production Managers. Control labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses. Promote office organization, cleanliness, and positive team morale. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business a plus. 3+ years of office management experience, including HR, A/R, A/P, and supervising staff of 2+ strongly preferred. Ability to manage budgets, expenses, and payroll processes. Experience in recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching employees. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to resolve employee issues constructively. Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Salesforce or similar systems. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
