Founded by attorney Matt Brooker, the practice is built on extensive litigation experience across state and federal courts throughout the Midwest. Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and dependable Executive Legal Assistant / Office Manager to support a busy litigation practice. This is a high-trust support role focused on execution, organization, and follow-through. You will manage administrative responsibilities, assist with legal work, and help ensure deadlines, client communications, and case materials are handled accurately and on time. The right candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy or momentum. Key Responsibilities Administrative & Executive Support
  • Manage calendar scheduling, confirmations, and changes
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and payment tracking
  • Maintain task lists, reminders, and action items
  • Prepare client communications, including thank-you notes
  • Assist with occasional personal administrative tasks Legal & Case Support
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents
  • Assist with discovery requests, responses, and objections
  • Prepare deposition binders and organize materials
  • File documents electronically and maintain filing systems
  • Maintain organized physical and digital case files
  • Track deadlines, court dates, and case timelines Client & Office Support
  • Communicate professionally with clients and third parties
  • Support a responsive and organized client experience
  • Manage mail, packages, and document flow
  • Maintain a clean, professional office environment Qualifications Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting an attorney, executive, or senior professional required
  • Prior law firm or legal environment experience preferred
  • Experience with legal drafting, discovery, filing, or case management preferred
  • Experience managing calendars, billing, and client communication required
  • QuickBooks, bookkeeping and reconciliation experience preferred Skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong judgment and discretion with confidential information
  • Resourceful, dependable, and self-directed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Acrobat, and experience with legal systems preferred Compensation & Position Details
  • Salary starting at between $60,000-80,000, depending on experience
  • Paid holidays
