Job Description
This position is located at the Office of Motor Vehicles in St. Tammany Parish The Motor Vehicle Office Manager A oversees the daily operations of a smaller field office, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant delivery of motor vehicle services, including licensing, identification, registration, titling, and reinstatement. The manager provides leadership to office staff, implements policies, and ensures adherence to state and federal regulations. This role is also responsible for staff training, resource coordination, and maintaining effective communication with the public, partner agencies, and other stakeholders to support a professional and customer-focused environment. Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent plus five years of experience or training in any field.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the general experience. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience.NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

Manages daily operations of a small Motor Vehicle field office, providing services related to driver's licenses, identification cards, vehicle titling, registration, and reinstatements. Supervises office staff, including assigning work, approving leave, conducting performance evaluations, and handling personnel matters. Ensures security of the facility, bank deposits, and all agency property during opening and closing procedures. Monitors transaction accuracy and workflow, conducts random audits, manages customer flow, and resolves complex documentation issues. Prepares and submits required operational reports, including production statistics, inventory, inspection sticker sales, and supply tracking. Oversees daily financial activities, including verifying reports, balancing funds, and ensuring proper deposit procedures. Handles customer inquiries and complaints through written and verbal communication, ensuring timely and professional resolution. Recruits, interviews, trains, and counsels employees, maintaining time and attendance records and recommending disciplinary actions when needed. Reviews and processes applications for driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, titles, reinstatements, and administers required testing, including road tests. Maintains office resources by ordering supplies, verifying shipments, coordinating equipment repairs, and ensuring operational readiness.Position-Specific Details:
