Southeast Rehab is a 171-bed skilled nursing facility. Weekly pay. SNF experience required. $44 an hour with weekly pay. As the Business Office Manager, you oversee the day-to-day accounting functions.
Education & Experience:
Must possess an associate's degree in Accounting and/or an equivalent of two (2) years training and experience in health care accounting, billing & collections. Must have as a minimum two (2) years experience in bookkeeping or accounting practice. Experience in health care accounting preferred but not required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Bill and collect all patient accounts. Balancing and updating the monthly closing. Communicate all potential account issues with the administrator and the regional finance team. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all job descriptions within the department. Discuss billing situations with residents and/or responsible parties. Stay current with intermediary procedural changes. Maintain accurate and timely records and reports, including all accounts, journals, deposits, ledgers, etc. Maintain accurate census data. Secure all cash and valuables on hand.
Specific Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Must be able to type 45 words per minute and use a 10-key calculator. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing sound accounting techniques. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents, staff, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning. Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing accounting practices.
