Office Administrator (Experienced, Problem‑Solving Focus) -
Full Time Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour (based on experience)

Bay City, MI (In Person) Job Description BT Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to support daily office operations and financial administration. This role is responsible for managing payroll support, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, tax-related documentation, license renewals, budgeting support, scheduling, and dispatching. The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do—someone who notices issues, asks the right questions, and takes ownership to keep jobs, people, and schedules moving forward. This position is not entry‑level and requires prior experience supporting service or operations in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll accurately and on time while maintaining payroll records and supporting payroll tax reporting.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including entering invoices, monitoring due dates, and posting payments.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Assist with sales tax, withholding tax, and payroll tax filings and related documentation.
  • Track and coordinate license renewals, permits, compliance deadlines, and company insurance.
  • Support budgeting activities by maintaining expense records, tracking spending, and preparing basic financial reports.
  • Coordinate schedules, appointments, vendors, or service teams.
  • Handle routing of service calls, deliveries, or field personnel to ensure timely operations.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of financial and administrative information.
  • Communicate with internal teams, vendors, clients, and service providers in a professional manner.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with other office duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in office administration, bookkeeping, accounting support, or a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes, AP/AR, invoicing, and account reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with sales tax, withholding tax, and payroll tax procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting or payroll software ( QuickBooks Online).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • High level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, self‑directed, and accountable
